“I walked into her office and met (Dr. Waibel), and it was like crawling into a cradle of comfort. I got such a sense of trust and warmth from her, beyond anything I have ever experienced with another doctor. She was so excited; she told me ‘I can’t wait to see what this laser can do for your face.’ I had no elasticity from 1969 until I had this treatment. I had leathery patches all over my skin. It is like I have a face for the first time since then. I wanted more. I couldn’t wait to make the next appointment.”

Treatment

After the first treatment, I was careful each day of my healing. When I saw the difference I couldn’t believe it. I definitely saw results after the very first treatment after the scabbing and the oozing went away. I wanted more. I had no elasticity from 1969 until I had this treatment. I had leathery patches all over my skin. It is like I have a face for the first time since then.

Experience at Dr. Waibel’s Office

It is so warm and caring. She has a staff member that stays with you throughout the entire experience; they were assigned to you and stayed with you throughout the office visit process.

Advice to others…

That it’s their responsibility to themselves to seek out their own care. In this time of insurance crisis we are in in this country, it is our duty to ourselves to manage our own health care. Utilize the resources they have – i.e., the Internet and find people to give them what they need to move forward (good doctors, laser services, sociological services, etc.). There are enough resources out there for each of us to manage our own health care.

Additional quotes

With all the latest and greatest technology available, doctors should not be available to treat their patients holistically (the “whole person”). I think many of them are. If they’re not comfortable doing it themselves, they should see if they have a nurse/staff member in their office who will spend that extra three minutes with them, look them in the eye, “cradle” them. This will compel patients to keep coming back. This is what Dr. Waibel does.
